A community bank as loyal as your best friend.
We understand the love, loyalty and companionship our furry, feathered or scaly friends provide is beyond measure. At our core we cherish the extraordinary connections we share with our pets.
Pets at the First Bank of Greenwich
It’s a testament to the beauty of this relationship and we’re here to celebrate and support it with you every step of the way which is why our offering list includes a Pet Savings Account. As every pet parent knows, having a “fur baby” can sometimes be as expensive as having a real baby. With that in mind we created an account designed to help you save for all your pet-related expenses; everything from food, accessories, routine vet visits and unexpected emergencies. Enjoy a competitive interest rate and the peace of mind that comes with knowing you have a dedicated fund for your furry friends.
Honoring the unique bond between humans and their beloved pets, we’re dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of animals as well as the communities they inhabit. We’re proud to support local animal rescue organizations and help connect loving pets with their forever homes. Each month, we spotlight a dog and a cat currently available for adoption through our community partners. You can also stay connected with us on social media to learn about upcoming events, fundraisers, and opportunities to get involved.
As a community bank, we believe in supporting the causes that matter most to our neighbors and animal welfare is close to our hearts. Partnering with local rescue organizations allows us to help raise awareness, encourage adoption, and support the incredible work being done to care for animals in need. Meet this month’s featured pets below and learn how you can help make a difference.
Meet Lilly!
Featured Dog
We LOVE working with Adopt-A-Dog, a dedicated organization committed to finding loving homes for dogs in need, on their annual “Puttin On The Dog” festival, but since that only happens once year, we’re thrilled to partner with them on the “FBoG Furry Friend” adoption campaign!
As part of our joint effort, The First Bank of Greenwich features a “FBoG Furry Friend” on our website and social media pages highlighting a special dog from Adopt-A-Dog’s shelter. Through this initiative, we aim to raise awareness and support for animal adoption, helping more dogs find the loving families they deserve. Please join us in supporting this great cause and, if you can, consider opening your heart and home to a furry friend in need.
That said, we’d like you to meet Lilly, a 5-year-old Retriever mix from Jamaica weighing about 35 lbs. She is very sweet and gentle but can be timid at first as she learns to trust. Lilly prefers having her own space from other dogs and would thrive in a calm, understanding home. With patience and kindness, her loving personality shines through, making her a truly special companion ready for her forever family.

Meet Tigger!
Featured Cat
Our ongoing collaboration with Adopt-A-Dog has been incredibly rewarding, bringing so much joy and wagging tails to countless families. Due to its resounding success, we’re thrilled to extend our reach to our feline friends as well and very excited to work with Friends of Felines, Inc, an incredible organization helping the homeless and forgotten cats of Fairfield County since 2001.
In partnership with Friends of Felines, we’d like to introduce you to Tigger, a spunky and playful tabby ready to bring nonstop smiles and happy chaos to her forever home.
Like his namesake from Winnie the Pooh, this Tigger is truly a wonderful boy! True to his name, Tigger has a playful, bouncy, fun-fun-fun spirit that makes him completely one of a kind. He absolutely loves wand toys and will chase them with joyful determination until he’s happily worn out – bringing laughter and delight to everyone lucky enough to watch.
What he truly wants is a person (or people) to call his own – someone to play with him, love him, admire and adore him, and continue giving him the sense of security that will allow him to blossom into a wonderful friend
Learn more about Tigger, and other friendly felines, and how to adopt by visiting the Friends of Felines’ website.
